Small Victories
What is a victory in sales? Is it a signed deal, a commission, a meeting? Heck to the yeah to all! Sales people are of course measured on production, but to ride the wave of emotions that the career comes with you are going to need to celebrate the victories no matter how small and seemingly silly. I had a couple this week getting through to decision makers who previously shut us down hardcore. I mean straight ghosted us. For some reason it was that magical timing thing that just paid off coupled with a little forcefulness that I had something of value to get across that got the attention of these people. All I got from them were initial meetings and the feeling of being rewarded with a couple new contacts that would take my calls now and get into my sales queue, but those were the victories I needed this week because the rest of it kicked my butt.
